Mumbai. Heavy rains have lashed Mumbai since last night, causing floods in many low-lying areas. The King Circle road is flooded by approximately 2 feet. Apart from this, Hindmata, Sion and Matunga have also been flooded. The city has received more than 230 mm of rainfall in the last 10 hours, according to the BMC. Mumbai has been getting good rains since Monday due to active monsoon over the Arabian Sea.

The meteorological department has warned of high tide with heavy rain even today. The high tide could come at 12.47pm, according to the weather department. During this time sea waves can bounce up to a height of 4.45 meters. People living around the sea are advised not to go out of the house. At the same time, the BMC has advised people in many parts of Mumbai not to leave their homes.
